How to take a taxi at Montreal airport?

To find a taxi at the Montreal airport, go to the arrivals level near the central exit opposite the luggage office, where a dispatcher will assist you. You don't need to book in advance. All taxi companies operating at YUL Montreal-Trudeau International Airport are licensed to do so, and must abide by the terms and conditions of their license. If you take a taxi from the airport to downtown, within the zone defined here, your journey is subject to a fixed fare detailed below.

WHAT IS THE DOWNTOWN AREA?

The downtown Montreal area where the special airport fare applies is bounded to the north by the des Pins Ave, Cherrier and Sherbooke streets, to the west by Atwater Ave, to the east by Papineau Ave and to the south by the St. Lawrence River. Please refer to the map.

Taxi rides from this area to the airport and from the YUL airport to this zone will be charged at the fixed rates detailed above.

Departure or destination outside the downtown area

For all other taxi rides, from the airport to an area outside the defined downtown zone, or from the Plateau Mont Royal to the airport, for example, minimum fares are calculated with the taximeter. A fare below the following amounts will therefore be readjusted to these minimum rates.
