Since 1967

Taxi Hochelaga came to life in 1967, a memorable year for Montreal as the city hosted the "World Exhibition”. The company emerged from the collaboration of around fifty driver-shareholders, led by their representative, Mr. Aubry. The very first telephone dispatch office was situated at the intersection of Cadillac and Hochelaga. The company expanded by acquiring Richard Taxi in the early 1970s, followed by Taxi Modern.

In Hochelaga, Maisonneuve & Mercier

Historically rooted in the Hochelaga neighborhood and downtown, the acquisition of Taxi Modern allowed it to establish a more significant presence in the eastern part of the island of Montreal. Even today, Taxi Hochelaga predominantly operates in the Hochelaga, Maisonneuve, and Mercier neighborhoods.

Towards a greener future

Following its integration into the Téo Taxi group and in response to climate challenges, Taxi Hochelaga and its vehicles are gradually transitioning from thermal energies to hybrid and 100% electric.
