What is Taxelco ?

Taxelco is a local, environmental, economic, and social project supporting the use of electric vehicles within a business model that values professional drivers who are dedicated to putting customers first.

Taxelco's history

Founded in 2015, Taxelco includes the divisions Taxi Hochelaga, Taxi Diamond, Taxi Prestige, Taxi Central de Beloeil, Téo Taxi, and Netlift. Our taxi services represent over 40% of passenger taxi transport in Montreal. With more than 1,500 taxi-owner members, we are the largest traditional taxi company in Quebec.

Taxelco's various divisions aim to cover a larger territory in order to meet transportation demand:

  • Taxi Hochelaga: With over 50 years of experience, Taxi Hochelaga is the second-largest taxi company in Montreal and was originally located in Montreal's East End.
  • Taxi Diamond: Founded in 1922, Taxi Diamond remains as dynamic as ever. Proof of this is that the company is now the largest taxi network in Quebec.
  • Taxi Central de Beloeil & Taxi Diamond Ouest: These divisions serve the population of Beloeil and its surrounding cities, as well as the West Island of Montreal.
  • Taxi Prestige: Offers service coverage outside of Montreal.

Beyond simple passenger transport, Taxelco has equipped itself with high-performance operational tools that align with a social and environmental approach:

  • Téo Taxi: Driven by our conviction that electrification is a major environmental issue, Taxelco relies on a 100% electric vehicle fleet through Téo Taxi.
  • Netlift: A corporate mobility platform that brings operational and financial efficiency to daily processes—organizing employee and patient travel, simplifying financial management, and optimizing transport operations.

At Taxelco, we work hand in hand with taxi drivers to transport anyone who needs a ride. We ensure drivers operate in full compliance with current regulations and passengers receive the proper service.

Our drivers are trained to provide traditional taxi services as well as specialized transport for specific needs, including public transit, paratransit, and corporate employee transportation.
